She stole $248,500 from her employer over a one-year period. For that, the Indonesian maid was jailed for 24 months yesterday.
Atik Yuli Hastuti, 34, who faced 148 charges, pleaded guilty to 45 charges of theft and removing property from the jurisdiction of Singapore by remitting money to her mother in Indonesia, reported The Straits Times.
She had been a maid for Ms Deborah Ann Henretta, 50, Procter & Gamble's group president for Asia, and her husband since September 2007.
She had found Ms Henretta's ATM card on the floor.
It was kept in a card holder with a slip of paper with the PIN written on it.
To date, she has paid back $27,170.
